Bless Your Little Heart

Welcome by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today, everyone!  It's Karen Letchworth here, and I want to share with you all this little secret........Really Reasonable Ribbon products are SO fabulous and SO much fun to create with.  I simply NEVER grow tired of being able to pull out the perfect ribbons, trims, twines, laces, flowers and embellishments for every project.  And you will LOVE them, too.  I really encourage you to do some browsing (and a whole lot of shopping) in the amazing Really Reasonable Ribbon shop.
This sweet and simple little card was SO easy to create just by using a few Really Reasonable Ribbon products to enhance my patterned papers.  I used two patterned papers that I attached using a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape, and then I machine stitched them together.
Next, I added a piece of Bright Pink Plaid Ribbon, Bluebird Plaid Ribbon, Forsythia Seam Binding and Cream Seam Binding to create my bow.  On top of that, I added some pretty Sweetheart Blossoms from the Mulberry Flowers section of the shop including one Ivory Sweetheart Blossom, one Two-Tone Pink Sweetheart Blossom, and one Hot Pink Sweetheart Blossom from the Mixed Pinks Assortment.
There are some tiny little pearl accent stickers in the centers of my printed flowers, and you can find several sizes of White Flatback Pearls in our Embellishments section.  There are many different styles of Embellishments from super pretty pieces, to vintage styles, to steampunk fun.  Although RRR specializes in ribbons and trims, there's SO much more to see and enjoy!
I also encourage you to stop by and play along in the FUN CHALLENGE taking place now.  We always love seeing your awesome projects, and we also enjoy visiting your blogs to see your creativity with ribbon.  Be sure to stop by here on the blog again soon too for more inspiration from all my talented Design Teammates.   Have a fabulous week!

Art Journal

It is easy to add softness and interest to your art journal by adding beautiful ribbons, lace and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I used one of my favorite combinations, the Burlap String Natural  and the Sheer Iridescent Champagne Ribbon to form bows to "tie together" my watercolor bouquet.
To add some dimension, I glued the White Netting  to the page and topped it off with the White Magnolia Flower.
For a little softness, I used Debra Natural Crochet Lace and added it to the bottom of the page.
I hope this inspires you to add some pretty ribbons, lace and embellishments to your next creative project.
Wishing you a creative day.

Chevron Woven Ribbon Headband Tutorial

Hi everyone. Today I'm doing Throwback Thursday and sharing a video I did several years ago.  I still love these Woven Ribbon Headbands and I wanted to re-share.

The headbands below were made with 1/2" or 3/4" White Plastic Headbands and 3/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You could easily substitute 3/8" Satin Ribbon or any other opaque 3/8" ribbon.

This is the headband color combination I will demonstrate in the video below.

This is done on a 3/4" White Plastic Headband.

Fun pattern, right?

In case you missed the ribbon measurements, you will need two ribbons in contrasting colors.  For a 1/2" headband, cut two 30" pieces of each color.  For a 3/4" headband, make the lengths about 38" long.

I hope you'll try this new weaving pattern.  You'll find it's very easy to do.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Autumn Blessings Birthday Card with Tea Bag Holder

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy here with a lovely Autumn Blessings Birthday Card.  I just love autumn colors and images, so making this was loads of fun.  Of course, ribbon played a big part in the design.

I confess to being completely smitten with this gorgeous Black Bold Check Plaid Ribbon.  It's new in the shop, and one of the fabulous ribbons from the September Ribbon Club Assortment.  I'm finding it goes with just about anything, and adds a fresh, almost country feel to any creation.

It also ties the most beautiful bows!  It's pliable, and just the right thickness.  The end result is lovely, poufy bows like this triple loop bow tied with the aid of my Zutter Bow-it-All Tool.

I've been having fun with these tall, skinny card designs.  This one made with Prima's new Amber Moon collection measures a generous 4.25" x 8".  I tucked a cute little sentiment envelope behind the card focal.  Would you like to see what's inside?

The inside has some sweet surprises hidden away as well.

I simply can't believe that we are already at the end of September!  You still have time to sign up for RRR Monthly Ribbon Club so that you can get your hands on this fantastic Black Bold Check Ribbon.  It's a great way to build up your ribbon stash, try the latest and greatest new ribbons and add color, texture and glam to your crafting.  You can find all the details HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty Kanzashi Flower Project

Hi there ribbon lovers.  Bonnie here today with a quick and easy Kanzashi Flower project made with supplies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
This is a relatively easy starter Kanzashi flower project if you've been itching to give it a try.
I will provide two video tutorials below to help you along.

This flower was created with 1-1/2" Grosgrain Ribbon in Pearl Pink, Hot Pink and Apple Green along with a 14mm Flower Shape Acrylic Rhinestone and your choice of a Pin Back or a Hair Clip depending on how you want to wear it.  This would look fabulous on a jacket or as an embellishment for a bag as well as a hair clip.
The first video shows how to create the flower petals and the second video will show you how I created the size difference between the hot pink and pearl pink petals.

Life's Blessings

Happy First Monday of Fall my friends!

Cherry here on the RRR blog. I created this sweet country card using my fave Fall Burnt Rust Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It is the perfect rusty orange.  Works perfect for an Autumn or Halloween card.
This time of year is the perfect time to reflect and count those blessings.
I added some special sentiments to the inside as well.  I also added some Juliet natural crochet lace to the outside and inside of the card.
An extra special sentiment to carry the theme through.
Well have a wonderful week everyone and thanks for stopping by the blog!  Cherry

Baby Shower Treats using Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday to you all!
Today I'm sharing these darling little White Chocolate Reese's covered treats I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon & a  Baby Shower I'm hosting on next Saturday. I used this DARLING Ribbon Spool to make 35 bows, it's so sweet! I had a lot of fun creating these, hope you enjoy today's post!

So for these sweeties, I pulled some polka brown design paper from my stash, and cut it to size for wrapping around these treats. I used Scor-Tape on the back side, at each end, and then attached to the treat. Next I punched out the scallops and circles and used foam squares to attach each one. For decorating I used stickers, and the darling Baby Hands Ribbon for bows.  I used hot glue to attach the bows. There are 35 of these on this 2 tier serving dish.

Really Reasonable Ribbon-
Baby Hands Blue Grosgrain Ribbon
Scor-Tape 3/8"
Foam Squares 3-D Tabs

Other Supplies-
Polka dot brown design paper
Polka Dot blue design paper
Alphabet Stickers, and baby boy stickers
SU! Punches for the circle and scallop
Distress ink in brown
Hot glue to add bows on.

These were super fun to create, and I made a ton of them. YIKES! I hope you enjoyed my post today, as I always enjoy creating and sharing! Thank you for stopping by, and have a lovely day!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Happy Anniversary Card

Hello ribbon lovers.  Bonnie here with you today with an anniversary card I created using pretty ribbon, mulberry flowers and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I started off with some Distress Ink paper I made using the color Stormy Sky for a nice mottled background paper.  I selected the digital sentiment from the Happy Greetings set from Graciellie Design.  I reshaped the digital sentiment to perfectly fit in my oval die and printed it out.  I also used the Lattice 2 die from Cheery Lynn Designs to layer over the bottom 2/3 of my card for added interest.
I ran a piece of 5/8" Silver Glitz Ribbon topped with 3/8" Mixed Blue Confetti Dots Grosgrain Ribbon across the middle of the card to cover the top of the lattice die.  I added the sentiment over the ribbon and then added three Royal Blue 20mm Open Roses under the sentiment.
My card was topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using 5/8" Capri Blue and Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon.  The center of the bow is adorned with a pretty Heart Shaped Pearl Embellishment.

For a video tutorial on how to make this beautiful bow, please click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Fright This Way Halloween Greeting Card

Good morning all of you fabulous Peeps! I'm dropping in to share another fun Halloween greeting card.

Fright this way. Get it? Okay I admit it's just a little bit cheesy....but why not have a laugh...after all this is meant to be a fun holiday right?
I've been keeping myself busy in the evening tv watching time by creating flowers to coordinate with my Halloween projects and these plaid and spiderwebby flowers are the icing on the cake for this little beauty.  Satin Swiss Dots Ribbon Tangerine with Black Dots is so perfect to round out the arrangement.
I've finished off this card with some die cut leaves and spiderweb, a painted chippie, and holiday die cuts. Last but not least some glittery stars and sequins...because more is always better right?

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Fun Halloween Pumpkin Decor

Hi, it's Karen Letchworth, and I'm so glad you're here today as I share a fun project I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Our fabulous Ribbon Club Assortment (which is a great way to always have the most fabulous trims delivered straight to your door each month) has a Halloween-inspired theme this month.  So....I decided to create a fun project using some of the ribbons included in this month's collection along with a few of my other favorite Really Reasonable Ribbon products.
I started with a paper mache pumpkin box that I've had in my stash for several years, and I painted it burnt orange.  I sprinkled the front with ultra-fine glitter while the paint was still a little bit wet.  Next, I ran a length of Dusty Olive Seam Binding around the pumpkin, and tied a bow with it at the top.
At the top, I also added a nice long length of Natural Burlap String that I bundled up, and I hot glued some wooden leaves, orange "berries", and a peachy colored Sweetheart Blossom from the Mixed Reds Sweetheart Blossoms Assortment.
I also added a grungy tag with some Haloween rub-ons, a mini rusty paperclip, a wooden acorn, an orange berry, an Ivory Sweetheart Blossom, a bow tied with Dusty Olive Seam Binding, a piece of 5/8" Black and White Bold Check Gingham, and a bundle of Antique Gold Burlap String.  There's no end to the possibilities of what you can create with all of Really Reasonable Ribbon's fabulous products.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Don't forget to check out all the FABULOUS products in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop, and to stop by and link up in our Current Anything Goes Challenge.  Have a great week!

Everyday is a Blessing Birthday Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Kathy here with a shabbylicious birthday card all done up in pink, gold and brown.

Pink and brown is one of my all time favorite color combinations, and I super love it when combined with Peony Satin Ribbons!  This bodacious bow cluster has a triple loop  Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon base topped with a double loop Crosshatch on Peony Satin bow and a pretty posie.

Just like the words to the song, "I get by with a little help from my friends," I get by with a little help from my fabulous Zutter-Bow-it-All Tool.  If you struggle to tie big poufy bows like this, then you really need to add it to your crafty wish list.  Once you get the tool, take a little time to watch the "Queen of Bows" (aka Bonnie Garby) tie perfect bows on her YouTube Channel.  That is how I learned, and trust me, if I can do it, anyone can!

Here's the YouTube link to get you started on your very own bow making adventure:

Finally, here's a peek at the inside of this pretty in pink card made with Simple Stories Vintage Blessings paper collection.

Wishing you beautiful bows...

kathy
