Four Cards for Christmas in July

Hello there Peeps! Well I'm going out with a bang for my Christmas in July projects and sharing four in the same post! Of course I planned to share one every day....but the heat and humidity had me not in the mood to write posts...so this is the only way to get caught up.
This might be the most traditional card I've posted so far..and on the last day too!  I'm combining a swell gingham with what I can only describe as sweater pattern. Is there a name for it? I've only ever seen it on Christmas sweaters so that's what I'm going with.
I've got more of the sweater pattern here but this time paired with buffalo check. To ensure that the focal images remain the star of the card I've layered them over doilies to separate the busy patterns.
Red doilies? Yep I went there too. And just check out that awesome snowflake ribbon..I am swooning.
Last but not least......this card is my favorite of the batch because that image just yells Christmas with the gloves and cocoa and candy cane. Those gorgeous flowers coordinate so perfectly and the leaves bring a welcome pop of green.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Thinking of You

Hello!  I'm so glad you're here, and I thank you for visiting us.  It's Karen Letchworth here today, and it's my turn to share with you, so I'm posting a couple of cards I created using several fabulous products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Like all of you, I love making cards.  However, I honestly don't think my cards would be nearly as fun without all the fabulous trims and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
My first card is a lot of fun, isn't it? I used some fun patterned papers, and I inked them.  I added some hand-rolled felt flowers, and in the centers of the flowers I placed some buttons strung with Ivory Burlap String, and another with a 12mm Flatback Fabric-Covered Button.  I also bundled up a nice length of Ivory Burlap String, and Natural Burlap String.
My second card uses two patterned papers that I inked and glued to a kraft card base using Scor-Tape.  This fabulous Adhesive holds your papers together SO well, and will stand the test of time.  I added an Orange Flower and a Fabric Brad, and I tied some Natural Burlap String underneath the brad.  There's also a length of Chloe Natural Crochet Lace and a length of Peacock Alley Seam Binding.

There's always a fun challenge taking place on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, along with lots of great inspiration.  And the RRR Shop is filled with AMAZING products to adorn your projects.  I hope you'l take time to do some shopping and treat yourself.  RRR products are totally AWESOME!

See you again soon,
Karen

Adding Dimension to Scrapbook Layouts

Hello ribbon lovers!  Adding dimension to your scrapbook layouts is easy when using beautiful ribbons, lace and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I used Emily Crochet Lace, and tucked a bow under the flower cluster by using the Burlap String .  I added the mixed Cosmos Daisy Aqua/Blue  and the white Magnolia Flower to help highlight the photo.
I then added more Cosmos Daisies for accents.
Hope this inspires you to add a little dimension to your next layout.

Beloved

{judy} Today I am sharing a card made with a collage stamp from I Brake For Stamps. This card is from one of my favorite sets called Bird and Blossom Post. Carnations are one of my favorite flowers! They are fragrant for so long.

I used the Ink, Spray & Smash Technique on Glossy White paper and then stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then embossed with Clear Detail Embossing Powder.
I added a little flower that I crocheted and some beautiful 3/8" Black Satin ribbon that I weaved through the Fiskars Threaded Ribbon punch. It makes for a nice accent! All of my layers are held together with Scor-Tape and Foam Tabs.

That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Style Songbird Card with Pockets

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy here with one more project made with the gorgeous Perfectly Purple Ribbon Mix from the July Ribbon Club Assortment.  I have had more fun this month going through my stash looking for papers to go with these fabulous ribbons.  If you love bird images and vintage style like I do, I think you might enjoy today's Vintage Style Songbird Card.

I love working with taffeta ribbon!  It's very easy to manipulate, and it ties the most gorgeous crisp bows!  With the help of my trusty Zutter Bow it All Tool, I created a 3.5" double loop bow from Hyacinth Taffeta ribbon. Then I tied a 3" double loop bow with Delphinium Crosshatch Satin Ribbon. This was glued on top of the larger bow.  I held it in place while the glue set, and adjusted the tails and loops.

I found this pretty abalone button in my stash, threaded it with a sliver of lavender paper and finished off the bow cluster.

To give the tag layers a finished look, I added a snippet of the crosshatch ribbon under each of these pretty flat back pearl cabochons.

I love to turn a card into a gift by adding goodie filled pockets to the inside.

This upper pocket contains a little gift card wallet. I created a Delphinium Crosshatch Satin Ribbon closure to keep everything secure.  To hold the ribbon in place, I ran 1/4" Scor-Tape around the wallet from back to front.  Then I glued my image over the ribbon and added a pretty gemstone embellishment

By gluing this small tag just along the bottom edge, I created a little tuck spot for a photo.  The tea bag fits there as well.  The gift card can go into the pocket for safe keeping.

I filled the bottom pocket with a pretty vintage style postcard and a handmade button card.

My papers are a mix of Graphic 45 Place in Time and Secret Garden purple papers.  The gorgeous digital bird and frame images are from Polly's Paper Studio Etsy Shop.

It's not too late to get your own Perfectly Purple Ribbon Mix!  Just sign up for the RRR Monthly Ribbon Club and you'll have it in your crafty little hands in no time!

Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Botany Card

Hello everyone, and Happy Monday to you all! Today's card was created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using their beautiful satins. This one is the Satin with Grosgrain Edge, and it's absolutely gorgeous! I love how easy the bows come together using this ribbon. To see all the Satins please visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store here.

To create this card here, I chose to use the new Vintage Botany collection from Club Scrap. So design paper, stamps, and stencils are all from one collection. I knew Really Reasonable Ribbon would have the perfect ribbon to go with this kit, so I chose the satin with grosgrain edge, and it's perfect. RRR also has some other beautiful satins and taffetas that match perfectly. LOVE this!!

Next I colored my image with Copic markers R85 & RV11 for the flowers, then for the greenery I chose YG03 & G99 they worked perfectly! For the center of the big flower I used some Stickles in the color of fruit punch. I have had my Stickles for about 9 1/2 years, and they still work perfectly.

I added sewing with my machine, in a light pink, and then added gel dots in white.

My layers are popped with RRR Foam Squares and the layers were glued together before sewing using a small piece of Scor-Tape, both of these can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon under adhesives

I hope you enjoyed my post for today, as I enjoyed creating this card to share with you all! Please leave a comment letting me know what you think :)

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Seasons Greetings Christmas in July Shaker Tag

Well helloooo there Paper Peeps. Ginny here with another installment of Christmas in July and this time I'm using a garden full of flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon along with trims of course.
This is just so cheerful and sweet. I stamped and colored those little images. I do love to color.
Did I mention this is a shaker tag? I'm slightly obsessed with them right now.  Inside are coordinating sequins and Shaved Ice. These little cuties were a bit lost on the busy background pattern so layered in a bit of a snowy border hill for them to stand on.

So. Many. Flowers. isn't the burlap trim a wonderful texture behind the snowflake printed satin?
I added a bit of tinsel trim for extra sparkle and included a twine loop to hang.

Really Reasonable Ribbon~  Tea Rose in Red 40 mm, White Open Roses 15mm, Sweetheart Blossoms in Red, Spiral Stamens in Red, Burlap Center Stitch Red, Snowflakes on Red Satin, Scor-Tape, Tombow 3D Foam Tabs.

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Gingerbread Christmas Greeting Card

Hey Peeps! I'm back with another Christmas in July greeting card. This is such a cutee card. I love the festive little gingerbread cookie man.
I'm using the Vertical Stripes on Red Satin to coordinate with the candy cane. There's also Red Cherry Blossom Flowers and large red buttons and pearls to create detail.
A little tinsel and a vintage button are last but not least to complete this fun card.

Wishing all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

It's Party Time

It's time for a party, friends!!!  In just three short days, it's MY (Karen's) 52nd Birthday.  I love to celebrate with family and friends, and I'm also blessed to be able to share my special day with all of you.  On behalf of myself and the entire team here at Really Reasonable Ribbon, we want to wish a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of you celebrating your birthday this month.  This card was so much fun to make, and Really Reasonable Ribbon helped me to make it extra special.
I started with some fun patterned papers, ephemera, stickers, chipboard and half of a paper doily.  I also ran some border stickers across my card.  At the very top, you will see a sticker/tag peeking out of the top.  I tied two lengths of Brown Sugar Baker's Twine to the little tag, and hung a tiny tag from it with a pear-shaped rusty safety pin.
I used lots of Scor-Tape on my card to hold everything together.  This fabulous Adhesive is a must-have item, and really holds things together securely over time.  I use it everywhere...on the papers, the Embellishments, and even the trims.  You really need a reliable and sturdy Adhesive, and Scor-Tape is a fabulous choice.  It comes in various widths for every project.
Another thing I wanted to point out is the fun 3-D paper medallion I added.  I tucked more bundled Natural Burlap String underneath it, and I topped it with a fun 14mm Flower-Shaped Flatback Round Pearl Accent.  There are so many awesome Embellishments in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop.  And....don't forget about the FUN CHALLENGE taking place on the RRR Blog.

Thanks for visiting!
